What a special day!

Today was a very special day, one that we will hold dear to our heart.
We rejoiced with Brent today in following God in believers baptism.

What a great example Brent is for Addison.
She will know one day that daddy did this to symbolize his walk with Christ.
It so neat to see how God has worked in our life, even more since we have been married.
Even through our struggles, we know his love for us is unfailing.

I am so proud of Brent and will be here every step of his journey!
God is so good.

What a great way to start off a exciting week. :)

Fun Stuff!

Today, Addison received her first birthday card!
This is so special to me! I cant wait for her to become a little anchor girl!
Love my little Delta Gamma Legacy!

On a side note... Brent and I's wedding was featured in a magazine. Our AMAZING  photographer, Kim Singer, entered us to be in a new local magazine.. Marvelous!
We were featured in the wedding section. This was also there very first issue, so that was kind of neat.
If you need a photographer for a wedding, family pictures, kids pics or anything... Kim Singer is great! I would recommend her to anyone! She caught all the right moments that we wanted to remember and more!

Meredith

Serving Fayetteville

This is how our day started....
I walked away for 2 seconds to put something up in the kitchen and......
I came back to this.
Yogurt all over her, the floor, my pillows, and the chair!
Had to snap a picture really fast because her face... she knew she had made a "no no" haha

After bathing and changing, Addison helped me out with the laundry. She climbed in and out of the hamper a million times and unfolded everything I folded.
She recently has learned to blow kisses... and it is the cutest thing in the world

Tonight, instead of the normal small group we went out to serve Fayetteville. We met at a local laundromat and offered free wash, free food and drinks. It was sooo hot and we didn't have a ton of people but the people we did, were so thankful.

To watch the their faces when we offered to do their laundry, was so neat and pretty funny. One older gentleman, who was also homeless, came in. He enjoyed talking with all the guys. Before he left they asked him if there was something we could pray for him.... and he said, "For people less fortunate then me."
WOW! Homeless, no money, no food.. and he wanted us to pray for other people.
How humbling.
Tonight I thanked God for all he has given me and asked him to help me not take things for granite, like I do on a daily bases.
I pray that we made a impact on at least one person's life and Gods will be done.
Such a neat project!
Addison had gone over to my parents house because we were going to be longer than normal, and since we are going through the stage of not liking the nursery, we thought this would be the best idea.
When I picked her up she was fed, had swung, walked around the yard, bathed and tired. I love when she goes to Gigi and Pops! :)
We barely made it home before she was out!

She was so tired!

Hope everyone has a great week! I am trying to prepare myself for the BIG ONE year party! ha
Love,
Meredith

FNO

Tonight Brent and I went to our first, FNO, Friday Night Out.
We have been going to a small group from our church on Wednesday nights, and loving it! We wanted to get more involved and this was a great way to do it! I am hoping to meet some other stay at home mom's that I can connect with, so we can have play dates and do all those fun things.

When you attend a small group they give you a card for you to use for a "free babysitter" ( the church). So we took Addison up to the church kicking and screaming, she has become very attached so leaving her is getting harder, but we did and she did fine!

Brent and I headed to eat and run a few errands. We haven't been out by ourselves in a long time, so we enjoyed our alone time together, even though we talked about Addison most of the time! ha
Could not thank God enough for my sweet husband!
Addison was ready to see us when we got there, but she wasn't crying, so that was a plus!
She was so excited to see Daddy!
This picture took forever and many tries but we finally got one...
Sure do love my sweet little family!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

Ribbon fun!

I have been working on Addison's birthday party a lot lately!
and having soooo much fun!

This weeks project is ribbon trees.
I girl I know had this made for her daughters 2nd birthday and I loved it!
So I decided to try and make one with the color scheme of Addison's birthday.
This project was really easy but took about a hour a ball.... by the 5th one I will be tired of seeing ribbon! ha

How to:
1. First cut the ribbon into 4″ lengths and arrange by width
2. Pin 4 or 6 pieces of each wide ribbon onto the Styrofoam ball using two straight pins each
5. Fill in all the empty spots with the medium and skinny ribbon. Over lapping is fine!
I can not wait to show you the end product! I still have a few more to do!

I can not believe I only have about 3 weeks until her party and her turning 1!!
Better sweet! :)

Stay tuned for more projects!

Ill leave you with my sweet little girl. Her new thing is every time she hears music we dance! She is so my daughter. Only a couple more years and we can start dance lessons! so excited!
Hope everyone has a great week!

A very Happy 75th Birthday!!

This weekend was a very special weekend.
It was my Mawma's 75th Birthday. We had so much fun spending time with her!

I'm sure you are all wondering how the car ride went......
well it wasn't that bad.
She slept maybe 20 min both ways but we sang, played, and talked a LOT!
My Dad and Caleb road down with us, so she thought it was fun having them in the car- some new faces!
This is Addison going through the tunnel. Her eyes get HUGE!
She freezes and does not move until we get out.
Too funny!

I videoed her.. the flashes are from Samuel taking a picture of her ( he rode with us on the way back!)
Watch her eyes! haha
We spent the day at  family's house in North Little Celebrating Mawma's Birthday!
Addison was so excited!
My grandmother has been going through chemo and is constantly telling me she needed a bow like Addison because she has no hair like her... so we brought her one for her birthday! haha :)

HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY!

Such a sweet memory!

It was a great and very special weekend with family. My Grandmother is so strong. She is fighting hard and we are praying every bit of this chemo is working!
We love you Mawma!

I even came home today to a clean house and dinner on the table from my sweet husband!
What a great way to end the weekend! :)

Happy Friday!

Today was a very relaxing day, we hung out and played at home.

My sweet husband let me sneak out of the house for a couple hours and get pampered with one of my friends, Kari.
We went and got a much needed mani and pedi!
I had to get my favorite summer nail polish color...
PINK VOLTAGE

I can not wait to do this with Addison in a couple of years!

This weekend we are headed down to Little Rock for my Grandmothers birthday.
She has been fighting cancer and going through chemo, so she is very excited for everyone getting to come down and celebrate with her.

Please pray for safe travels and not to many tears in the car by Addison...and maybe me ha ( lots of sleeping :) )

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Are you ready?

Brent and I attend Cross church Fayetteville and we absolutely love it!
If you are looking for a good church home please come and join us or have any questions let me know.

Sunday we started a 6 week series called, "Are we nearing the Coming of the Lord?"
Nick Floyd did a awesome job. Here is a few key points.

Key verse: Matthew 24:3-14
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

What are the signs?
1. religious deception
Matt 24:4-5; 11
2.War and rumors of war
Matt 24: 6-7
3. Natural diasters
Matt 24: 7
4. Persecution arises against believers
Matt 24: 9
5. Lawlessness will be increased
Matt 24:12
6. Gospel will be preached to all nations- There are only 38 hundred un-reached people groups left.
Matt 24: 14

These are the 6 signs of the Lord's returning in Matthew chapter 24.
5 of the 6 are happening now in this day and age. So question do you think we are in the end times?
I challenge you to look up these verses and really ask your self are you ready?

I pray that if I do anything through this blog- I help someone with their walk with Jesus Christ. It has even helped me with my walk with being able to share what I have learned. Its so neat to see the tools Jesus uses in your life!

A very Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you!

 Happy Birthday to you!

Birthday Banner

I can not believe I am already planning Addison's 1st birthday... but having so much fun with it! :)

I have been looking on Etsy at different birthday banners. After looking at about a million ... I thought I could make one for way less of the cost then they sale them for!

So here is my try:

I pre-cut the letters out of scrap book paper that I already had and just bought the ribbon and cardstock.
Super easy!!
and....
The finished product!

I think it turned out pretty cute for my 1st one!

I can not tell you how much fun I am having.. Its like planning my wedding all over again ... just my budget is a little less! haha

Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend!
