Rain rain go AWAY!

Yesterday- on the very wet and rainy day we had, we took Addison to the doctor.
I was so worried about her so I wanted to take her to make sure everything was okay!

Dr. Lovell said that everything looked fine - she just had a bad stuffy nose and is teething.
Such a relief to hear.

While we were there we went ahead and did our 9 month check up.

Addison is:
Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz
height: 26 inches long
She is only bigger and taller than 25% of babies so we have a little petite girl on our hands!
She is the absolute perfect size and we are so happy God blessed us with a sweet healthy baby girl!

Rain rain PLEASE go away!
I feel like it is never going to stop raining. After the doctor we tried to head over to my parents house and every road we took was flooded or blocked. So we headed home. When we got to our house our street was flooded.... so Brent had to come get us. With more rain to come tonight and tomorrow I can only imagine what the roads and lakes will look like!
Be safe out there!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday and is thankful for everything God has given you!

Seeking him,
Mrs. Penzo

Ps. Wanted to wish Mrs. Kari Cantrell a very happy 22nd birthday! I could not ask for a better friend! We love you and hope you have a great day!!

Not the Easter we had planned...

I can not tell you how excited I was for Addison's 1st Easter. I had everything planned out.

This morning I had planned to wake up early to have my quite time and then make our Easter breakfast. We had set up Addi's Easter basket the night before so we just had to set it out for her to "find." Then we were heading to church and then off to Easter at Brent's Grandparents
.....but that all came to a HALT.............
when Addison woke up with a 100.7 temperature. Of course when it was late enough I called my mom and asked what to do? She reassured me that Addi was okay and we just needed to take it easy today. I told her I was so upset that we were going to miss our 1st Easter church service as a Family.... her reply was- "get ready this is the first of many. I wish I had a dime for every time we planned something and couldn't make it because you guys got sick!" lol
I guess welcome to motherhood- Im sure we will have many more days like this!
but I sure do love this little girl and wouldnt change a thing!

She is teething right now so we are praying it is just that. This is her 1st time to be "sick" and I HATE it! I wish so badly I could take it away from her and give it to me. The only good part is she wants to cuddle:)

As our day progressed Brent went to his Grandparents for a little while to celebrate Easter- shortly after being there I called and asked him to head home.... so little to say we were having a bad day and needed both mommy and daddy!

Poor Addis temperature is not much better so we are headed to the doctor tomorrow but until then my mom is on speed dial -and hopefully everything is okay and she is just teething! Please keep her in your prayers!

Here are the few pictures I got today!

Seeking Him

Our Healer

God works in mysterious ways that we will never understand. He has a purpose for everything he does and has planned for our life.

Recently we found out that my grandmother, Mawma, has ovarian cancer. She is in stage 3b of 4 stages.

When my mom called to tell me the news, my heart was crushed. To think of the pain and struggles she is about to go through breaks my heart.

I can only imagine the thoughts going through her mind. My Mawma is such a fun, strong, Christian woman that I believe with all my heart this will make her stronger in her faith and heal relationships that have been broken. When we spoke to her the 1st thing she asked was if she could borrow one of Addison's bows when she starts Kemo. :) I look up to her for all the courage she has!

I pray that she stays strong during this hard stage in her life. I pray that she knows that cancer does not make her who she is but christ alone does. I pray God shows us a miracle and his will be done!

I ask that you keep her in your prayers as she goes through this stage in her life!

On my way home from Fit for Christ- this song came on the radio. Tears filled my eyes as I thought of my grandmother. This song is everything she needs and is so true that God is our healer and provider in times of need.
