Welcome Home Daddy!

As I mentioned in this post, Brent has been gone for the past 2 months on a business trip/ Tyson training camp. 

Wednesday we got to welcome him home and both Addison and I were so excited!

I have to brag on him a little.. :) He was chosen to give the speech at there graduation along with another girl and also was named one of the top 3 people out of the training camp.

My Dad got to go to Brent's graduation and I was so happy about that. He said he did a great job! I love that my Dad is there to support him!

Addison woke up that morning asking when Dad was going to be home. 

A and I made a sign for Brent to hang outside.. 

 You cant tell but it says "Welcome Home Dad"

She LOVED coloring every letter and hanging it on the garage for him! 

We also had to decorate a little inside as well...

and make him a yummy cake.. A choose what kind to make him because of the sprinkles!

Friday night, my grandparents, Mawma and Papaw, where in town along as my Aunt.

We all got together for dinner and to celebrate Brent's graduation. 

 Brent got the "You are Special" plate....

and a little minnie cake!:)

 

It was a fun night spent with family and Deke of course! 

Even though it was hard to have Brent gone for so long, I am so happy he his home and so VERY PROUD of him. God has a big plan for Brent and I can not wait to be by his side all the way!

Super Star

Monday, my mom got the chance to sub with me in my 3 year old preschool class.

 When the day was over and we went to Addison's class to pick her up... She was SO excited to tell us, she got the SUPER STAR.

You are given the super star when you are kind to your friends, obedient and listen. Hearing this makes a mommy heart proud! 

A wore it all day and pretty much all week. :)

 She was so proud! 

 We ended her great day with Sams football game, where they came out with a WIN against Springdale!

Pumpkin Patch Thursday!

Last Thursday, my mom took Addison to the Ranalli farm pumpkin patch. 

I am so thankful for her and all the fun things she does with A. 

Addison loves every minute of it and looks forward to Thursdays where she gets to spend with "my Gigi!"

She was a little beside herself in this picture because she could not pick up a HUGE pumpkin...

 She is such a drama queen but I love every minute of it! 

A loved all the huge pumpkins.

 She found the one she wanted! 

Addi had so much fun and my mom enjoyed getting to visit with Brent's grandmother! 

When they got home she was so excited to show Uncle Sam her pumpkins!

A is so proud of the ones she picked out! 

Friday, it was rainy and cold, so we took full advantage and painted her pumpkins..

Addison had so much fun....We will defianlty be doing this again soon!

Life

Life is precious. Life is Hard. 

Lately, we have been surrounded by so many tragic and hard things. Friends with babies in the NIC unit, child cancer , and horrible accidents that have happened. 

I have been in constant prayer for Julee this week. My mind can not seem to focus on anything else. I can not imagine losing my best friend, father of my child and husband. I pray God wraps his arms around her and Preslee in ways only she can feel. 

I look at my own life and how Brent has been gone on a business trip for the past 2 months. Tomorrow is the day he finally gets to come home and Addison and I could not be more excited. 

I was upset and not excited that he was going to be away from us when we found out... I was going to be a single parent for 2 LONG months.

How selfish... I think now.

I look now at Julee. She will be a single parent to sweet Preslee. She will be doing it alone without her best friend. I would gladly choose another 2 months over this.

In times like these I honestly question.." Why God?" But in times like these I can also honestly say it brings me closer to God. I  pray i hold on to my strong faith on a solid foundation and trust Gods Plan. We can not see the big picture now and may never but God does. He knows every step in his plan and it is perfect whether we see it or not. 

Our loved ones are not gone. We will see them in heaven again if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ

Revelation 21:4 reminds us..

⁴ ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’^[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

I ask that you join with me in prayer for Julee now more then ever as she has to face so many hard times in days to come. I pray her faith stays strong and that loved ones hold her and Preslee tight. I pray Julee has the strength of David to fight this Giant. That she puts all her trust in Jesus. 

We are not promised tomorrow. Life will never be easy. There will be good times and heart breaks, but knowing God is there to help us face those giants and we are able to drop those burdens at the feet of Jesus to carry, helps me get through. 

It amazes me to see how a community has come together in a time of need. The light of Jesus is already being glorified through a terrible tragedy.

Serious Football Fan

Today, Addison and I stayed home from school. She ran a fever all weekend and today was the 1st day she didn't wake up with one so, I wanted to give her one more day to rest and feel completely better.

We slept in and had a spa day... 

I love having a girl!

That night Addison was doing much better (besides her allergies) so we headed to Uncle Sams football game.
