What God Wants for Christmas

When we went to the Miss Patty Cake, Happy Birthday Jesus breakfast, my mom picked this up for Addison.

It is a nativity set made just for children.

 I wanted one that Addison could touch and play with and it wasn't just decoration.  

It contains a pop-up manger scene, 7 gift boxes and a poem corresponding to every box. 

Every night for the next week, we are opening a box and reading the memory verse with it and story to each person:

Box 1: Angel Gabriel- Luke 1:26

Box 2: Mary - Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:26-28

Box 3: Joseph - Matthew 1:18-25

Box 4: Baby Jesus- Luke 2:1-7

Box 5: Shepherd- Luke 2:8-20

Box 6:Wise man- Matthew 2:1-12, Luke 2:19

 The 7th box is a mirror- telling you what God wants for Christmas... YOU! 

This is a time for parents to share their christian walk. 

This year Addison doesn't understand much but she loves opening the boxes and Daddy reading to her. I'm excited to watch how she changes over the years and how much more she gets involved with it!
