A Speical day!!

Addison laughed for the 1st time today.....and it just melted Brent and mines heart!! One of the cutest things she has ever done.
I was so happy both of us were home when it happened!

You will never truly understand how big of a deal little things like that are until you have a sweet little one of your own!

Addison's 1st Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went out to White Rock with Brent's family...and man was it cold! Every year they go camping with there RVs and all the family comes out on Thanksgiving for a big lunch that his papaw cooks.Yumm! Addison did really good and had fun watching what everyone was doing.... she also got to see her first snow flakes! :)

My family had been out of town for a family vacation to Williamsburg, so we did our thanksgiving Friday night. Then Addi, my mom and I decorated the house for Christmas. After playing and dancing around with Uncle Kyle and mommy, We curled up by the fire and watched Elf with the family- The only thing that was missing was Daddy :(. He had to work ALL day for Black Friday.

God has given me so much to be thankful for this year! A wonderful future husband and best friend, beautiful daughter that means the world to me, loving parents that would do absolutely anything for us, wonderful brothers, great in-laws, sweet extended family and friends. I thank God everyday for the people that he has put in my life. It is so amazing to watch Gods plan unfold for our little family.

Please keep Brent, Addison and I in your prayers as we get ready for our new life together. I pray that God directs us in the right path. I know he will provide for all our needs if we trust in him!

I am so excited for Addison 1st christmas. It is so neat to be able to start new traditions with our little family! Brent and I are so blessed to have this sweet baby in our life!

Working on my Cooking Skills

So lately I have been practicing my cooking skills and I have to say I am getting a little bit better. ( Brent even thinks so... not so many burnt things! ) My mom keeps telling me I have to learn so Brent and Addison will not starve but I always assure her that there is always take out! haha

Tonight I used a new recipe out of a Pampered Chef cook book.

Beef Taco

2 packages of crescent rolls

1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef

1 package of taco seasoning mix

1 3/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons of water

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook ground beef in Large skillet over medium heat 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix, 1 1/2 cups of cheese and water.

2. scoop filling evenly over desired shape; ( I did the wreath) finish shape as directed. Bake for 20 to 25 min or until brown. Serve!

Wedding planning is in full swing and slowly coming together- only a few bumps so far but nothing we can't handle! We are all having so much fun! Cant believe it is a little over 3 months away!!

So I was trying to think of a creative way to ask my bridesmaids if they would be a special part of my wedding- They are such great friends and sisters I had to do something unique for them and they seemed to LOVE it!

I wrote them  each a little letter and asked them on a card! :)

Living out your Faith!

Today at MOPS ( mothers with preschoolers) we had a very special speaker- Kelly Stamps. She spoke on "living out your faith." Her story of her girls and how she lives out her faith through them and her blog was so inspiring. She had lost her first child in a miscarriage and almost lost her sweet little girl, Harper, in the hospital - now God has blessed her with another child that is due in March. God really does bless those that are humble and patient.

It really makes you think how blessed you really are. Even though it was unplanned Addison is the biggest blessing in the world. Brent and mines life has changed from night to day but we wouldn't have it any other way. I am so thankful that God has blessed us with a sweet, healthy little angle that we love so very much!

I just started going to MOPS about 2 months ago. It is so much fun! I have had a hard time with not having very many friends who have children that I can relate to and through MOPS there is a full room! :)
If you are interested in going let me know-it a great fun way to meet other Christian mothers and have fun fellow shipping together!

Cereal Anyone?

Thursday night we had our 1st adventure with cereal! Addison was not a big fan...

 We are gonna wait just a little while longer to give Addison cereal again. We don't think she is quite ready just yet. Think we are gonna stick to the apple juice and milk!

I am soooo excited and can not wait to marry Brent and spend the rest of our lives together!

Happy 3 Month Birthday to you!

Addison is 3 months old today! I can't believe she is getting so big so fast. It feels like just yesterday Brent and I were in the hospital getting ready to bring her home -thinking we have no idea what we are doing.....we have come so far! :)

I cant explain how much our life has changed- but for the better! :) I wouldn't have it any other way. Addison is such a blessing and a special gift from God. Just seeing her face brightens our day. Its amazing to know that God had this plan for us even if it wasn't ours- we wouldn't change it for the world!
