NWA Champs!

We have had a busy week so far... and its only Tuesday!

I am teaching a private dance lesson for a group of girls for a birthday party- It has been fun but also a lot of work. This is our last week so we are squeezing in as many practices as possible and it is keeping me very busy!

After practice tonight, Addison and I headed to Uncle Caleb's game. The last two nights have been spent at the ball park. They won and were able to play in the championship game tonight against Har-Ber... and I am very proud to say... THEY WON!!!!

It is so neat to see a group of teenage boys kneel down before a game and pray together as a team.You have to have a strong coach and team mates to this. 

God is working in these boys hearts.

Daddy showed up on his break to suprise us... and with my favorite.. a sweet tea! :)

So proud! Love to watch my brothers play. 

This week has been a hard week. Sweet baby Miller passed away and Coach Johnson went to be with the Lord this morning after losing his battle with cancer. 

I pray for comfort and strength for these 2 familys. 

Only God can get them through this.

 

  I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

To the park we go!

Down the street from our house we have a really nice park. 

Addison loves to go and play.

Last night Daddy had to work so we headed to the play for the afternoon.

I am beyond thankful for such a healthy sweet little girl. I follow the Woodruff family blog and yesterday their sweet little baby boy, Miller, went to be with God. He has been fighting Spinal Muscular Atrophy since he was born in March and God decided it was time to call him home. I pray for comfort, understanding, and strength for their sweet family. 

It made me think how special my time with Addison is. I thank God for blessing me this long.

I squeezed her a little tighter and held her a little longer today before laying her down.

Psalm 34:18

Please continue to keep this family in your prayers as they go through some tough days ahead.

Craft time!

Monday is my day to clean, do laundry and just get things ready for the week but today I wanted to add in something fun!

I told Brent I was going to make a lamp shade out of coffee filters ... he looked at me like I was crazy! 

But I saw on a blog someone who did it, and it turned out sooo cute!

Craft: Lamp shade out of coffee filters

How to:

1-Fold the Coffee Filter in half

2- Fold the coffee filter in thirds

3- Fold the coffee filter in half from bottom to top

4 -The bottom half is what is glued down to the shade so the "flower" stands up

After over 200 coffee filters later it was done.. and I LOVE IT!
It turned out really cute! I think im gonna make one for our room!

Happy Fathers Day!

Today was a very special day- it was Brent's 1st fathers day!

I could not thank God enough for bringing him into my life and giving us a beautiful daughter together. 

Brent is an amazing father, husband, provider and best friend any girl could ask for.

We love you Daddy!

We decided to go to Tulsa for the night and take Addison to the Zoo today. We had so much fun. Addison loved every bit of it. I am very thankful we have a child that loves to be outside, it makes trips like these so much easier. 

Brent had to work Saturday ( his last day at Best Buy YAY!), so we headed to Tulsa after dropping Fathers Day gifts off at our parents. The car ride was a little rough.... we were VERY glad to see the hotel. After letting Addison crawl around and play for a little while we headed out to Casa de... something.. this was suppose to be a restaurant that Brent likes.... but after driving around for 20 min and the GPS taking us to someones house we decided it was time for a new place, so we headed to the Cheese Cake Factory! YUMM!

For fathers day Addison and I got Brent a Grill... well we got him the stuff for it! haha

I am the worst at picking stuff like that out so we took him to get one.

I also had fun with my Dads gift from Addison. I found on Martha Stewart blog a stamp you could print off for fathers day that had "PoP" as the title.( I just added a few extras and put my touch on it!) :)

Happy fathers Day Pop! I thank God everyday for you. You have taught me so much and have been their for me through thick and thin. You are a wonderful father and husband to us kids and mom and I look up to you so much for that. Hope you have had a wonderful day Addi, Brent and I are so lucky to have you in our life

B is for Baseball

Friday night we took Addison to the Naturals game.

She loves going to them because we are outside the entire time. Brent's mom works there so we can always get tickets, which is nice for last minute planners like us! ha

I was so excited for the firework show and to see how Addison reacted.....

....And we were scared to death. 

The first couple booms she watched but by about 5 minutes in we had enough and watched the rest in the car!
